Smart Corporation Plans Distribution To
Scholarship Providers
ARLINGTON, Texas - The Board of Directors of SMART (Scholarship Management and
Accounting Reports for Tenpins) Corporation will make an income earnings distribution to
providers' funds later this quarter. A $400,000 total distribution will be credited before
March 4, 2013.
"The SMART Board is extremely pleased to be in position to make its largest distribu-
tion since 2008," SMART Corporation Board Chairman Wally Hall said. "The SMART fund
has shown good returns while maintaining the safety and stability our stakeholders ex-
pect."
The SMART Board's investment policy is designed to invest the largest portion of
earned scholarships into fixed income highly conservative and safe securities. The re-
mainder of the assets are invested in a diversified portfolio of securities expected to yield
greater returns while still maintaining a highly conservative investment strategy.
The United States Bowling Congress SMART program began operation in 1994 as a
service offering the bowling community a centralized location to manage bowling scholar-
ship funds as well as providing USBC members with a resource for inquiries about bowl-
ing scholarships. In 2010, the SMART Bowling Scholarship Funding Corporation was
created as an independent entity dedicated to the management, protection and promotion
of the SMART scholarship funds.
Junior Kyle
Sidileau Rolls 695
By: Frank Weiler
REDLANDS - Fourteen year old Kyle
Sidileau rolled a scratch 695 (202 - 204 -
289) in Empire Bowl's junior league just days
ago. Kyle is averaging 170 and improving
consistently under the guidance Empire
coaches and pro shop operator ZACH JELL-
SEY.
Zach told me that Kyle was using his new
Roto Grip Defiant Soul to score. It was the
first time Kyle used the ball, right out of the
box to 695.
Zach opined that the "SOUL" was the hottest
ball on the market. He said it was in the
hands of several Empire bowlers who bowled
honor scores within the last two weeks.
