Jack Canouse, one of two managing partners and a co-founder with Stars and
Strikes said, ―we are extremely excited about this new project and look forward to
bringing our upscale family entertainment center to Sandy Springs and the sur-
rounding area. We‘re looking forward to offering an array of attractions and recrea-
tional activities for the entire family.‖
According to the Bowling Proprietors As-
sociation of America, bowling is now the
nation‘s number one participatory sport.
Unlike the ‗alley‘s‘ of the past, today‘s gen-
eration--of both leisure and professional
bowlers--require technology, diversity of
entertainment and fresh menu options.
―After months of market research and
many years in the business, we‘ve discov-
ered there‘s a need for this type of recrea-
tional facility,‖ said Chris Albano, managing
partner and co-founder of Stars and
Strikes. ―The Sandy Springs location will
serve as an entertainment and dining desti-
nation for all ages and have broad appeal
to families, churches, schools, corporate
outings, or simply for a girls or boys night
out.
Our vision is to provide a tremendously
fun experience in a safe, clean, comfort-
able, smoke-free atmosphere with great
customer service and value.‖
With four other locations across Metro
Atlanta, including Cumming, (opened 2005), Lawrenceville (opened 2007), Dallas
(opened 2008) and Stone Mountain (opened 2011), the modernized and reinvented
Stars and Strikes in Sandy Springs will attract all ages. The 20-lanes of bowling will
appeal to all customers, including the professional bowlers looking for a higher qual-
ity bowling experience, which is only accentuated by the digital imaging highlighting
everything from personalized company logos and celebration messages to national
and local sports teams.
The new location will also boast eight, private lanes called the Blue Room. Com-
plete with custom sofas, dedicated staff and privacy curtains, each lane can be
rented individually or as a room, making it the ideal venue for a gathering with
friends or colleagues. When it‘s time to slip away between frames or after the
party, Stars and Strikes will also offer everything from DJ nights, comedy and kara-
oke from the HUB Entertainment Stage.
The 40 TV screens found throughout Stars and Strikes will provide patrons with
videos, live sporting events, movies and news, ensuring a tremendous experience
while they bowl. All 28-lanes will be equipped with bumpers that automatically rise
or descend depending on the player, allowing everyone to bowl according to their
skill set.
Stars and Strikes of Sandy Springs will also be the launch of the company‘s new
restaurant concept, 710 Grille. The 250-seat restaurant will offer seasonally-inspired
food including a variety of appetizers, specialty salads, signature soups, sand-
wiches, wood oven pizza, steaks and other popular items. Unlike the ‗bowling alley
food‘ of years past, 710 Grille will be a chef-driven establishment that allows patrons
to have an entertainment and culinary experience--all under the same roof.
―We‘re excited to have Stars and Strikes locate in Sandy Springs,‖ said District 2
Councilmember Dianne Fries. ―Its location provides a family-friendly entertainment
alternative on our northern end, as well as enhances revitalization efforts in this
area. I can‘t wait to go bowling!‖
Design Development, a firm out of California
, was selected by Stars and Strikes
to bring the vision for the highly-anticipated Sandy Springs location to life. From
cherry woods, flexible seating and lighting that adjust from day to night, the com-
pany‘s newest location has set out to be a benchmark in the family entertainment
center industry.
Stars and Strikes of Sandy Springs is
providing up to 120 new jobs.
