Tom Smith Bowls The Only
300
In Citrus Belt Senior
Tournament
By: Frank Weiler
REDLANDS - The annual Citrus Belt Senior Tournament
ended last weekend at EMPIRE BOWL. While official results are
pending the verification of all averages, we do know that Tom
Smith of San Bernardino rolled the only perfect game of the
tournament. There were no 800 series, just one 290 and two
279
s during the two weekends of competition.
Tom used his Roto Grip Defiant ball to bowl his super score
and wishes to thank MARV SARGENT for drilling his equip-
ment. Tom will be giving the 10K gold USBC 300 ring, he or-
dered, to his wife.
The tournament featured Kegel's Wall Street oil pattern. The
pattern challenged our bowlers and brought out their best.
Citrus Belt President MIKE RADDEMAN is grateful to all asso-
ciation volunteers who worked the tournament.
