True Amateur Tournaments would like to

and participating in the 2017 TAT Amateur
National Megabuck Bowling Event. This
event was made possible because of all of
you and we are excited to announce that
another successful and competitive week of
bowling took place at The Orleans Hotel
and Casino. This year TAT features almost
10,000 Games and over 3500 entries!
We would like to congratulate 22 year old
Donald Jones from 29 Palms, California, for
taking home the $20,000 grand prize. Don-
ald shot a 199 in the final match and was
crowned 2017 TAT Amateur Nationals
Champion to take home $20,000 and the
Crystal Cup. He was joined by four other
bowlers in the final round including, Jorge
Gomez, who finished second for $10,000,
Kevin Gagnon who finished third for $7,500,
Terry Leong who finished fourth for $6,000,
and rounding out the top five was Robert
Campagnale, finishing fifth for $5,000.
One of the crowd favorites, The Roto-Grip
Challenge was held on Thursday February

, with over 280 bowlers vying for the
$5,000 grand prize. In the end it came
down to Gerald Johnson, Aaron Horton, JD
Elliot, and Eligio Lopez. 54 year old Gerald
Johnson threw the winning three strikes to
win the $5,000 first place prize, while the
other top three cashed for $1,000
each. There were 35 cash spots in this
event between the two separate Handicap
and Scratch divisions and over 150 Roto
Grip No Rules given to participants
