JASON WALSH
WINS BARRIER
REEF MOTEL
Congratulations to Storm staffer Jason
Walsh on an outstanding victory in the 2013
Barrier Reef Motel Open. Jason averaged
216 on a demanding oil pattern and compiled
a 7.5/3.5 (win/loss) matchplay record to finish
26 pins ahead of second place Paul White.
Stephen Hunt finished third, a further 62 pins
back.
Jason used a range of balls including the
Hy-Road Pearl, Defiant Soul and Disturbed.
Congratulations also to Andrew McArthur
who shot the only 300 of the tournament –
using a Reign Of Power.
BOWLING IN THE MEDIA
NBC TV
has closed deals for a yet-unnamed comedy project
revolving around a group of six friends who meet each
Wednesday night for their weekly bowling league and centers
on two of them - a couple, now broken up, who refuse to give
up custody of their bowling league.
Mac Daddy's Family
Entertainment Center
(Cape Carteret, North Carolina) hosted a "Zombie Walk
For Autism" last weekend with proceeds benefitting
the
Onslow County Chapter of the Autism Society of
NC. Over 350 walkers participated and make-up
artists were on hand to insure everyone looked
as frightening as possible.
The
Dallas Morning News
has a nice feature on
the
International Bowling Museum and Hall of
Fame's
growing popularity in the DFW Metroplex.
