The ABTA’s Winter Open Event will be hosted by the
Popular Strike-Zone at Sunset Station Hotel Lanes Casino,
Feb 6-7-8-9 with a First Place Guarantee of $5,000 and up
to $13,000. First Place can be won with the Bonuses and
Cash N Carry Options.

NEW Members WELCOME this is an Open Event Fun For
all! Payoffs are GOOD and HONEST as we offer a fair prize
fund for all NO GAMES OR FALSEHOODS In the
ABTA!!
Averages must be completely verified to join as we are fair
to all! Entry Fees for the Big Paying Event are reasonable
with the First Entry at $95 Prepaid and $100 Onsite, Re En-
tries are $93-$83 and all others only $75. Reduced Entries
will receive $2,000 1st place and 60 % of all other prize
funds, 1st Entry $69, re-entries are $59 and $54. There are
qualifying squads all four days and EACH DAY IS a SEPA-
RATE QUALIFYING DAY, with 1 in 6-1/2 bowlers making
the board daily.
First place in this event is guaranteed at $5,000 minimum
and with Bonuses 1st place can be worth up to $13,000. It
all begins Thursday night with a $600 Bonus Qualifying on
that night and winning the event. Squads Thursday are 9:00
-& 11:00 PM with 1 in 6 ½ making the semis. Friday there
will be a $300 Bonus and squads begin at NOON- 1:00-2:30
-4:00-5:30-7:00-8:30-10:00-and 11:30 PM is the last Squad
of Friday Saturday Feb 8 Squads start at 12:00 1:00-2:30-
4:00-5:30-7:00-8:30-10 & 11:30 PM again 1 in 6 ½ to the
semis. Sunday Feb. 9 is the FINAL DAY ONE Regular
Qualifying Squads at 9:00 taking 1 in 6 ½ fro that Squad,
and then- and at 10:30 AM Is the RE ENTRY Only Squad.
To enter Re Entry YOU MUST HAVE ALREADY BOWLED
IN THE EVENT TO JOIN THE RE-ENTRY SQUAD and it
will be taking 1 in 6½ to the Semifinals.. ALL Squads are
open to everyone EXCEPT the Re Entry which means you
must have already bowled in the event and takes 1 in 6 ½
each day.
The 3-6-9 Roll-off is at 12:00 NOON with Semi-Finals to
follow at approximately 12:30 PM and after 3 Games we will
cut to the EXCITING Top 32 Single Elimination Finals with 7
women Guaranteed to top 32 and on to the Coveted Title.

PBA Announces 2012-13
Regional Award Winners
SEATTLE (Jan. 8, 2014) – Eighteen bowlers were recognized for
their achievements in the seven Professional Bowlers Association
regions as recipients of Player of the Year, Rookie of the Year and
PBA50 Player of the Year awards, PBA Regional and PBA50 Tour
Director John Weber announced today.
In the Northwest and West Regions, six-time PBA Tour winner
Chris Warren of Grants Pass, Ore., earned Player of the Year hon-
ors for the second consecutive year. It was his fifth award in the
Northwest and third in the West. He won two titles in each region,
had six other top-five finishes in the West and three more top-three
finishes in the Northwest.
Dean Richards of Tacoma, Wash., earned Rookie of the Year
honors in the Northwest and West thanks to winning two events in
the Northwest and one in the West. Two-time
Tour winner Kent Wagner of Reno, Nev., earned his first Northwest
and West PBA50 Player of the Year honors with the help of two
wins in each region.
In the Southwest Region, Joe Findling of Mesquite, Texas,
earned his first Player of the Year honor by winning two
tournaments and finishing third twice. Roger Petrin of Bel
Air, Kan., was selected as Rookie of the Year after winning
one event, finishing second twice and fourth once. PBA Hall
of Famer Mark Williams of Beaumont, Texas, earned his
first PBA50 Player of the Year honor after winning one title.
In the Midwest, Dave Beres of Waukesha, Wis., earned his
first Player of the Year award after two wins and one fifth-
place finish. Eric George of Waite Park, Minn., won Rookie
of the Year honors after winning one title. PBA Hall of
Famer and 2013 PBA50 Tour Rookie of the Year Pete We-
ber won his first PBA50 Midwest Player of the Year award
with three wins, three second-place and one third-place
finish in the
seven events he entered.
In the Central Region, PBA Tour rookie E.J. Tackett of
Huntington, Ind., earned his first Player of the Year honor
with one title, one second, five fourth-place and a fifth-place
finish. T.J. Schmidt of Mishawaka, Ind., earned Dan Ottman
Rookie of the Year honors with a best finish of eighth, two
match play appearances and four cashes. Kenny Parks of
Hammond, Ind., earned his third PBA50 Player of the Year
honor after winning two titles and eight other top-five fin-
ishes including four second-place finishes.
Four-time Tour winner Ryan Shafer of Horseheads, N.Y.,
earned his second consecutive East Region Player of the
Year title after four wins, one third-place and one fifth-place
finish. Gary Haines of West Babylon, N.Y. won the Rookie of
the Year nod with a best finish of second and three match
play appearances. John Conroy of Mahopac, N.Y., earned
his first PBA50 Player of the Year award with four top-five
finishes including one title.
Kyle Troup of Hickory, N.C., earned his first Player of the
Year award in the South Region with two wins, one second-
place and two third-place fiishes. Anthony Colosimo of Pem-
broke Pines, Fla., earned Rookie of the Year with a best
finish of eighth and two match play appearances in four
tournaments. Hall of Famer Tom Baker of King, N.C.,
earned his second PBA50 Player of the Year with three
wins, two runner-up and four third place finishes. Baker also
made match play in all 13 tournaments he entered.
