USBC Youth Committee
Selections Announced
ARLINGTON, Texas - Frank Wilkinson of Staten Island, N.Y., and Kevin Russell Jr. of Orlando,
Fla., have been selected by the United States Bowling Congress Board of Directors to serve on the
USBC Youth Committee. Each was recommended by the USBC Nominating Committee and will
begin their three-year committee terms starting with the 2013-14 season.
Wilkinson currently chairs the USBC Youth Committee and has served on the committee for the
last six years. The proprietor of Rab's Country Lanes, a family-owned bowling center in Staten Is-
land, he is a USBC Board member and has served on the audit, executive director review, nominat-
ing and strategic planning committees. He is an active member of the Bowling Proprietors' Associa-
tion of America, president of the Staten Island USBC and serves on the board of directors of the
National Council of Youth Sports (NCYS).
Russell recently graduated from Robert Morris University with a master's degree in business
administration and is in the management training program at Walt Disney World. The 2010 USBC
Youth Ambassador of the Year, he was a four-year member of the Robert Morris bowling team.
The Youth Committee monitors and promotes USBC youth programs, and makes recommenda-
tions regarding youth-specific benefits and events. It also elects youth representatives to the USBC
Board.
Wilkinson and Russell will join Ray Baty, Brent Bowers, Cera Dailey, Erik Galganski, Debra
Haggerty, Rick Pittser and Dominick Savage on the committee for the 2013-14 season.
Calling All Communications Students
The 2013 IBMA Pezzano Scholarship Committee Is Ready To Accept Applications
ARLINGTON, Texas - The Chuck Pezzano Scholarship is awarded annually to worthy students
who are high school seniors, vocational school seniors or current college students and not over
the age of 25 during the year in which the awards are presented. The award is named in honor of
International Bowling Media Association (IBMA), (formerly Bowling Writers Association of Amer-
ica, BWAA), United States Bowling Congress and Professional Bowlers Association Hall of Fame
journalist Chuck Pezzano
Applications are now being accepted. To be eligible, applicants must meet the following re-
quirements:
* Involvement in the study of communications (to mean all who
communicate with words and images). For example; writers, journalists, television, radio, web
broadcasters and designers, public relations or publicity directors, graphic artists, copy writers, as
well as photo journalists, illustrators and cartoonists
* Maintain a minimum 3.0/4.0 GPA or equivalent
* Include a copy of your school transcript with the application
* Participate in the sport of bowling, although bowling skills are NOT a requisite
* May not have exceeded their 25th birthday during the calendar year of the award
* Include at least one reference letter; no more than three
* Write a short, titled essay about the sport of bowling not to exceed 500 words
Please do not include stories, articles or press clippings that may have been written about you.
Up to three (3) scholarships per year may be awarded based on the applicant's credentials. Any
or all of the funds may or may not be distributed at the discretion of the committee. Individual
awards and or combined scholarships may not exceed $3,000 per year. If there are ties, scholar-
ship awards will be split. Winners will also receive a one-year paid membership in IBMA.

The new equipment that must have brought
by Santa as sure made a difference in the
scores posted below. As you take a look you
will see just how well they are doing.
Aiyahna Caldwell rolled a 172 in the Satur-
day Bantams. Lorenzo Lew posted his 126 also
in the Saturday Bantams in week number one.
Eren Olguin rolled a 165 and Logan Woolen a
159 both in the Saturday Preps. In the Saturday
Junior Majors we had Andrew Carteret with a
259 and Harrison Fong with a 247. Armando
Godoy rolled a 300 729, Forrest Kritzer 299
770, and Cody Sinor 254 all in the Monday
Junior Adult, and in the Tuesday Juniors we had
Logan Woolen with a 160.
Week number two Aiyahna Caldwell rolled a
145 in the Saturday Bantams. Eren Olguin
posted a 161 in the Saturday Preps and Jovita
Contreras posted a 157, Logan Woolen 153 in
this same league. Armando Godoy rolled a 300
735 in the Monday Junior Adult. Also in this
league was Brittany Hillman 259 715 and
Forrest Kritzer 257.
In week number three is where we find Davis
Fong posting a 157 in the Saturday Preps. Big
brother Harrison Fong rolled a 264 in the Satur-
day Junior Majors; staying with this league we
had Alex Amescua with a 254. Bryan Kendall
posted a 258 and Robert Sartain a 257 both in
the Monday Junior Adult, and in the Tuesday
Juniors we had Logan Woolen with a 154.
