TAT Tournament
Las Vegas, NV- With almost 4000 total entries, True Amateur Tournaments held
its biggest Summer event ever! You wouldn’t know it as lines were short and
squads ran on time everyday due to the hard work and experience of the TAT Crew
In the end Jon Rakoski did what some thought was impossible and became the
first to repeat TAT Champion. Jon shot an amazing 245 in the final match barely
edging out Greg Neuer of Covina, Ca with a 237. Arturo German finished 3
rd
for
$7,500 and is part of our big group from Mexico lead by Alex Archundia. Josh
Thompson from Belle Vernon, PA bowled amazing all week and finished 4
rd
for
$6,000. Our 189 & Under Handicap Division Champion John Henry Co got $5,000
for his 5
th
Place finish.
We had two of the best bowlers in the world join us during the week. Pete Weber
and Jason Belmonte stopped by to sign autographs and take pictures with TAT
bowlers! They also spent some time in the booth with some great commentary that
can be found on Storm’s YouTube page.
We are excited to run TAT tournaments outside of Vegas with our next tournament
at The Meadows Casino by Pittsburgh in November. Of course, we will be back at
The Orleans in Las Vegas January 28
th
- February 4
th
, 2018 which should be a BIG
event. Our TAT Progressive Pot is estimated to reach almost $20,000 meaning the
winner of the TAT can now win $35,000 and the beautiful TAT Crystal Cup!
I want to personally thank everyone for competing in another great TAT event and
thank you for your continued support. I promise to keep building this Megabuck
event and raising prize funds to make the best bowling tournament in the world even
better!
