We had 28 entries on Sunday September 17th on the
Kegel of Pisa pattern (41 feet) which proved to be a
v e r y d i f f i c u l t pa t t e r n s c o r i n g w i s e .
The tournament was led by Scott Boyle of Modesto
with a 1276 qualifying score (a 212 average).
Low for the top 5 step-ladder was Richard Oakes of
Fresno who bowled 1221 for his 6 games (a 203 aver-
age). And low to cash was Rick Francis of Modes of
Modesto to with a 1176 score (a 196 average).
Very demanding scoring pace.
In the step-ladder finals in was the #3 seed Travis
Hewitt of Fremont who took control. Travis had 1235
for his qualifying games (a 205 average). Travis first
defeated #5 Richard Oakes Jr. 204 to 183. Travis then
defeated the #3 seed Jon Le Chuga of Lodi 208 to 184
in the semi-final match. He went on to defeat the #1
seed Scott Boyle 224 to 186 in the championship
match for his 1st ever Yosemite Lanes scratch 6
gamer title and $372.00.
This win also qualifies Travis for the 2017 Tourna-
ment of Champions. Congratulations Travis and to all
the other cashers.

the US Open Pattern (must have bowled at least 2
2017 6 gamers to be eligible for the December tourna-
ment).
