Sam's Town Bowling Center
got a little upgrade with
some awesome new carpet a couple weeks ago. The
Tour always appreciates the red carpet being rolled out
for us. Thanks to Tom, Manager, and Travis at the
front desk for taking care of the Tour in grand fash-
ion. With 51 entries this week, the 'Cash List' had 10
Members at the end of the day.
The scoring was TIGHT to say the least!
Michelle
Scheitzach
set the bar early with her 954 series. Her
score went unchallenged thru Squad Two, however,
the last squad of the day brought on more than a few
challengers.
Donald Jones
posted a 955 to take the lead only to
learn that Greg Mamac bested him by just a pin with a
956. Greg wins his second Title this year, cashing
for
$821.00
and becomes our latest Two Time Tour
Champion.

place effort and Michelle takes
home

in 3rd place. Awesome

Eight brave Members took to the lanes for the second
installment of Crazy 8s competition to win their way in.
Crazy 8s Madhatters'
Greg Mamac, Ken James, Ejay Zafra, II, Guy Hirsi-
maki, Manny Zafra, Tess Zafra, Stan Leowenkamp,
and Paul Roberts 3 bowlers made it across 5 lanes with
8 or better to make the Finals.
Ken James, Greg
Mamac and Guy Hirsimaki
squared off to see who
would win an entry. After Guy was eliminated, Greg
and Ken both failed to get 8 or better so they went an-
other round. This time Greg came out on top to win his
way in. Crazy 8s will return at 11am at Silver Nugget
with a twist. On your first entry, you will get TWO at-
tempts instead of one. Now on to the recap..........
It was another close race for the top at
Gold
Coast
where the separation from
1st and 3rd place
was only 9 pins.
With 50 entries, 10 bowlers made the
'Cash list' with a low to cash of 922. A total
of
$2,960.00
was paid out along with a 3-way tie for the
9-Tap Jackpot.
Kenny Reynolds, Al Sivka and David
Kaea, (Hawaii 9-Tap Director),
who was visiting from
the Hawaii Region with his wife, Frances, all recorded
the front 4 no tap strikes to earn a piece of the Jack-
pot. Each will receive a
Rewards book worth over $3500.00 in discount sav-
ings!
Special thanks also to Frances Kaea who helped
me verify scores and prepare the results at the end
of day.
After the first two squads of the day were completed it
looked liked a 'Family Affair' on the leader board as
the
Zafras
had locked up the Top 3 spots with
Ejay
Zafra, II
leading the way. At the end of the day, the
'Family Affair' got broken up but all three did
cash! Climbing to the top was
Daryl Jeffries.
He
started off slow with a 186 game, but he did not give
up, finishing with 3 very strong games to close with
a
968
series. Only 3 pins behind was
Ric Bisnar,
who
very close to snatching his very first title.
Ejay Zafra,
II
got his second 3rd place finish in a month since fin-
ishing behind his mother
Tess Zafra
, who this time
finishes behind her son for 4th place. Daryl pockets a
COOL
$712.00
, Ric adds another
$419.00
to his career
earnings and Ejay pads his total with an even
$300.00.
Congratulations to the Top 3. Great competitive scor-
ing this week, keeping it close and exciting! Other cash-
